On Sunday, a small contingent of our band had the privilege of travelling to Summerset by the Sea in Katikati to perform for one of our most cherished life members, Judy Birchall.
Judy is one of our longest-serving members, and her contribution to the band over the years has left a lasting mark on all of us. Recently moving into care, Judy has been very much in our thoughts, so it meant a great deal to be able to bring the music to her.
We played a selection of tunes for Judy and the residents, and it was a truly special occasion. Judy was deeply touched by the visit, and it was clear how much it meant to her to see and hear the band again.
Moments like these remind us that our band is more than just music — it’s a community, a family, and a lifelong connection.
We’re incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to play for Judy, and we send her all our love and best wishes.
