The band had the honour of leading the Bethlehem Tertiary Institute Graduation Parade once again this year. The parade kicked off from The Strand and made its way up Devonport Road to the Holy Trinity Church on 3rd Avenue — and let’s just say, that hill reminded a few of our pipers why fitness matters!
It was our first full parade in a while, so there were a few red faces (and not just from the sun), but spirits were high and the sound of the pipes and drums echoed proudly through the streets of Tauranga.
We were joined by pipers Taine Harvey, Maneo Armstrong, and Ngatai Armstrong, and were well supported by drummers from the City of Tauranga Pipe Band — a big thanks to them for backing us up.
All in all, a great day out celebrating student success, even if the calves were feeling it the next morning!
